James Daniel Kilcrease was the son of John Jackson Kilcrease and Nancy Rouse. 
He married Martha Jane Yearby and raise a large family. James and his family 
lived in and around Worth and Tift Counties in Georgia. They were hard working 
farmers and loved their families. James died of complications from an auto 
accident on Jan 2, 1928. He was born on April 27,1861. He was almost five 
years old when his father John Jackson went off to fight in the Civil War, 
leaving his mother to try and hold the farm together and raise her children. 
They was probably living in Schley County Georgia by then. 

Nancy Elizabeth Kilcrease (my grandmother) was the oldest child of James and 
Martha Kilcrease. She married Mallie L. Branch son of James Thomas Branch and 
Rutha Summers of Worth Co. Nancy and Mallie Branch had eight children,but only 
five lived to have families of their own. Nancy and Mallie's oldest son Henry 
Franklin Branch married Annie Mae Johnson the daughter of Walter and Sleetie 
Johnson of Madison Co., Florida. They had four children of which I am the 
oldest.
